Foothill Fire Protection District… Now

Posted by: Charity_Maness on 07/27/2010 04:12 PM
Chief Siligo of the Foothill Fire Protection District proudly and rightfully claims a 180 degree turnaround from the previous negative public perception of the FFPD. Currently staffing 20 volunteers, all firefighter certified (with a few currently becoming certified), over 60% carrying a class “B” license, and receipt of a certificate from the Legislature commending them on no missed calls since May of 2007, the FFPD has a right to brag. To clarify the extent of Chief Siligo, the firefighter’s, and his staff’s commitment to a new and better FFPD, one must look at the past....

Posted by: Kim_Hamilton on 07/01/2008 05:59 PM
Valley Springs, CA..."The Calaveras County Taxpayers Association could have waited to announce their endorsement until after the release of the revised draft EIR, which will review the whole project's impact on the aquifer, on surrounding wells, traffic, roads and other consequences to our community. The CCTA press release draws important and erroneous conclusions on information that seems to have come from project supporters, but is not consistent with KIRC's analysis of the public record. If they are representing taxpayers, more due diligence and objective review would have been appreciated.....
