It's a rowdy celebration, they welcome one and all to our round table dinner at the canyon trail park. This will be a Winemaker's dinner with a medieval twist. The Ironstone Vineyards Heritage Museum will have an unique display of armored suits, medieval period swords and more.....

Murphys, CA... Thousands of people celebrated their freedom during the annual Ironstone's Independence Celebration. The fourth of July is not only the birthday of our country, but a summer day to be with friends and family, BBQ, and watch fireworks. Ironstone had rock climbing, bounce houses, magicians, lawn games, chalk painting and more. The talented Blues Box Bayou Band and the Shane Dwight Band sang guest through a grand independence party with live music. To top it all off yummy food, drinks and dancing were offered for those that have outgrown the bounce house....

Murphys, CA....It was a Love Fest at Ironstone Vineyards last Friday eve for the Bob Weir, Rat Dog and Gov't Mule Concert! We decided to take our boys to this concert as John thought it would make for a nice family outing. Why not take our 6 and 10 year old boys to a "Dead Head" concert, right? When we first arrived our boys were a little taken back. There were vw vans, people with hoola hoops, dread's, lot's of tie die and plenty of love to go around. Actually a very nice crowd of people. The music was wonderful as it brought back some of those fond 60's memories to all that attended.....

Douglas Flat, CA...We stopped by Chatom Vineyards yesterday to see how their preparations were going for Passport Weekend. They already had the winery decorated and ready to go. We also had the pleasure to meet Marlene Wilkinson who will be their new Wine Club, Marketing & Promotions Director. She is pictured below with Chatom's Owner Gay Callan. They are standing behind a festive bar and are ready and waiting to help make this years Passport Weekend the best yet...

Valley Springs, CA....We had the pleasure of attending the 5th Annual "Savour the Flavour" Wine Event and Auction at the lovely Bear Flag Vineyards in Valley Springs owned by Jim Green of Green Dentistry. This event is sponsored by the Rotary Club of West Calaveras. There were also many wineries from Calaveras County on hand pouring their wines. Bear Flag Vineyards is located in Jenny Lind on a lovely 2 acre vineyard with a charming historic farmhouse. If you have a chance stop by Bear Flag Vineyards in Jenny Lind for a pleasurable experience.

Calaveras County, CA....The 12th annual Passport “Wine” Weekend sponsored by the Calaveras Winegrape Alliance (CWA) will take place June 20-22, 2008. Please join our 19 member participating wineries/ 21 tasting rooms in Calaveras County for a special weekend of food, music, sales and of course award winning wines! Participants are issued “passports” that are stamped at each of the wineries visited, and are all entered in drawings for some fun prizes. Each passport holder has access to special wine tastings, gourmet appetizers, and special wine discounts....
