Welcome Readers....School’s out for the summer! So who do you think is the happiest the students or the teachers? Well, this teacher can tell you that she is ready for her “School is Out Celebration” and this year the theme will be centered on red wines. Douglas Flat, CA....Chatom Vineyards has alot of great events planned for your Summer! To Start off they have a Wine Tasting Event at Camps in Greenhorn Creek on June 18th. Chatom Vineyards is delighted to join the gang at Camps Restaurant at Greenhorn Creek for a Wine Tasting Wednesday June 18th from 4-6pm. First Annual Calaveras Winegrape & Gourmet, A Celebration of Local Viticulture in Calaveras County on Saturday! Video Clip Enclosed

Angels Camp, CA...The first Annual Calaveras Winegrape Wine and Gourmet was a pouring success out at Frogtown on Saturday. This was a brand new event to Calaveras County highlighting the viticulture industry in our lovely area. It was also intended to cater to the needs of small, micro vineyards and wineries. We are villages of wineries and vineyards and our size speaks volumes as to what our tailor-made needs are and what we can produce. Attendees were invited to enjoy samples of our exceptional award winning wines produced from Calaveras grown grapes and delicious foods created by our local restaurant partners. They also receive a beautiful 16 oz Calaveras Winegrape Alliance glass. Educational seminars focusing on winegrape varietals suited for our areas soils and terroir were presented by widely respected industry leaders. Culinary seminars focusing on wine & cheese pairing and a presentation on how to open and present a bottle of wine were also offered.......

Irish Family Vineyards Was "Mobbed" Last Weekend! We Have Photos & Video...The Bride Did It!

Vallecito, CA...Irish Family Vineyards held a Murder Mystery Dinner last Saturday Night which was a grand time for all! Everyone dressed up in great 1920's attire as Irish's tasting room became a speakeasy for the night. With great food catered by Jenny Baxter of Jenny's Kitchen and the wonderful acting troupe "Murder for Hire" from Sonora, the Murder Mystery was a hit! The story begins with members of the Falsetto Family are moving to the West Coast and ends up dead before the night is out and the guests need to figure who did it.....
