Bear Valley, CA....Bear Valley Mountain, the Central Sierra’s premier family skiing and snowboarding resort, has partnered with the California Senior Games Association (CSGA) to host the 2011 Senior Winter Games. The games provide male and female sports enthusiasts 50 years old and up with an opportunity to compete in an Olympic-style event that offers competition in downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and more. This year’s games will be held on the main mountain and in the village area, March 11 – 13, 2011. In addition to hosting the games, Bear Valley will help .......

Bear Valley, CA....Hey Good People! A fast moving storm has moved in to California and should bring up to 7″-10″ by the time it exits early Monday morning. A cold shot of air behind it will give us some low temps in the mid teens the next few days. Sunshine will be back on Monday through the week with a significant change at the end of next week. Pay attention to the down stream effect off of the Aleutions! La Nina patterns are often highlighted by intense stormy periods with long breaks in between, Winter will be back! Another week of sunshine has passed and as things on the East Coast settle down and move offshore it will allow us to see a possible chance of snow showers Saturday & Sunday. Looks like we’re in for a change at the end of next week. Pay attention to the down stream effect off of the Aleutions!
