Brianna Gilbert, 8th Grade, from Mark Twain Elementary, and Maxwell Stickels, 7th Grade, from Toyon Middle School are the top two students going to the State competition in San Rafael, CA....
American Cancer Society Volunteers Paint Our Towns Purple Relay Ahead of April 27th Celebration

Angels Camp, CA...Towns are becoming awash in purple, thanks to efforts by volunteers from the American Cancer Society’s annual “Relay For Life,” a community campout against cancer. Throughout Calaveras County, towns, schools, and businesses are “painting our towns purple” to celebrate cancer survivorship and bring attention to the yearly event, which will be held on April 27th at Bret Harte High School....
