Bear Valley, CA...Leave the driving to us to the Ironstone Amphitheater for a fun night with the Doobie Brothers this Saturday.
Transportation Only - just need a safe ride to the show and back, round trip transportation is $20/pp from Bear Valley and $15/pp from Arnold. You can purchase concert tickets through us as well. Bus departs Bear Valley at 4:30. Show starts at 6:30. Bring your best bottle of wine for a memorable evening with the Doobie Brothers. (Yes, you can drink on the bus.) Tickets and seating is limited. Weather Postpones Ebbetts Pass Closure Till Thursday

Alpine County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is postponing today’s full highway closure of State Route 4(SR-4)/Ebbetts Pass from Highland Lake Road to SR-89/Monitor Pass for pavement work. The closure will occur on Thursday, June 11, 2015, from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Motorists will need to take alternate routes and should expect an hour delay.
Chapel in the Pines Invites Children to Everest VBS: Conquering Challenges With God’s Mighty Power!

Arnold, CA - A summer kids’ event called Everest VBS will be hosted at Chapel in the Pines from June 15 to June 19. At Everest, kids discover what it means to hold on to God’s mighty power in everyday life. Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and dig into yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love, and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with a Summit Celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time at noon.
Avery, CA....The 4th Annual Arden Saville's Memorial Ride will start this year at CP Financials Parking Lot in Avery. Meet at 9am at Doug Brown's Office.

Angels Camp, CA...The Bret Harte High School Class of 2015 marched forth into adulthood on Friday night. It was another great ceremony and the future is in good hands and these young adults continue their journey. We have photos including scans of the program with all the graduates. Avery, CA...Last night the 8th Grade Class from Avery Middle School received their diplomas and marched forward to the next step in their education. Every year it strikes us how lucky these kids are to attend school at Avery. With the beautiful setting in the pine trees, the Distinguished School status, their iPad program and more there are lots of kids that would love to trade places with them. It has been a busy and eventful year at AMS and the students have even weathered the loss of Teacher Amy McKeen. As Ms. McKeen was honored as if on cue a partial rainbow appeared in the clouds. We have over 100 photos and full video of the ceremony.
