Bear Valley, CA...Dawn Harms has captivated family audiences for years with her fun and engaging educational show. She takes her audiences on an exciting musical adventure that spans more than 300 years. From the music of Bach and Mozart to contemporary composers, her energetic show delights people of all ages. Dawn’s varied career ranges from chamber musician, violin soloist, concertmaster, to music director and conductor. She is a member of the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, Associate Concertmaster of the New Century Chamber Orchestra, and Co-Concertmaster of the Oakland East Bay Symphony. She also records regularly at Skywalker Studios for movies and video games. She is the Co-Founder and Music Director of the Music at Kirkwood chamber music festival, Music Director and Conductor of the Bay Area Rainbow Symphony and currently serves on the music faculty at Stanford University.

Their Sunday matinee program on July 31 includes Samuel Barber’s String Quartet, Gabriela Lena Frank’s Milagros, Terry Riley’s Waltz from The Wheel & Mythic Birds and Ruth Crawford Seeger’s 1931 String Quartet. Hailed by Gramophone as “masters of all musical things they survey” and two-time top winner of the Chamber Music America/ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming, the Del Sol String Quartet is a leading force in 21st century chamber music.

Highs 72 to 87 higher elevations...85 to 95 lower elevations. Prevailing east winds up to 10 mph shifting to the southwest in the afternoon. Tonight: Clear. Lows 49 to 64 higher elevations...62 to 72 lower elevations. Prevailing west winds up to 10 mph shifting to the east after midnight. Tuesday: Sunny...wmer. Highs 75 to 90 higher elevations... 89 to 97 lower elevations. Prevailing east winds up to 10 mph shifting to the southwest in the afternoon.
