Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! After almost 4" of rain over 36hrs it cooled down at 4am this morning and we finally picked up 3" of new snow!!!!!!! As the system heads East it should squeak out a few more inches of snowfall this morning and through out the rest of today. Clearing tonight will give way to cooler temps so we'll ramp up the snow making again to supplement the natural snowfall and colder temps. It's going to be a beautiful weather weekend as we start 7days a week operations here at the ski area. The highs for Sat/Sun will come in right around 32F for both days with night time lows in the mid teens. Winds today will be out of the SSW from 10-24mph then shift to the ENE from 7-10mph on Sunday. High pressure returns and looks to effect the West coast/Sierra Nevada Range with sunshine all next week at least until Thursday. The recent heavy wet snow that fell has helped with some great base building so with the coming snow with it will help put us in the right direction for the coming Holidays. We are opening 7 days week starting Saturday Dec 17th . Come on up and enjoy our "Pure Mountain Fun" ethos!!!!!! Stay tuned........
Hey Good People!! More Snow On The Way As Bear Valley Opens Daily December 17th! ~ Mattly Trent

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! This has been a back and forth week for weather predictions!!!!! It now looks like more snow than rain is slated for us here in Bear Valley!! With a high today of 43F and winds forecasted in the South direction from 25-45mph decent precip looks to fall today as the pressure gradient tightens and gives the Sierra the much needed precipitation it desires even if it's rain/snow mix initially. The colder air mass we were hoping for is heading towards us so snow levels have once again come back into the mix in the 5-9" range for later today and showery snowfall slated for Friday before the system makes it's way East. 9000' is the initial snow fall elevation but with the cold air now on it's way we could see snowfall down to the 4000' range and lower by later tonight. The recent heavy wet snow that fell has helped with some great base building so with the coming snow with it will help put us in the right direction for the coming Holidays. We are closed this M-F and opening 7 days week starting Saturday Dec 17th . Come on up and enjoy our "Pure Mountain Fun" ethos!!!!!! Stay tuned........

Hey Good People Temps Are Dropping & Snow Is Falling! ~ Bear Valley Update By Mattly Trent
Posted by: thepinetree on 12/10/2016 08:58 AM
Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Another day of warm temps ahead. The last 48hrs has been mostly rain but that looks to change later tonight as some cooler temps will try to inject themselves into the area. The high for today is slated to be 44F and breezy with variable winds from the mid teens into the low 30's. If things align for us here in BV we could maybe pick up 1-2" of snow tonight but that's an outside chance at this time. Sunday is the temp change and we could see snowfall during the later half of the day and Sunday night could bring 2-4" before another possible pool of warm air arrives. Things are looking much better for the coming week with snow expected as the warm air mass that has been bothering us all will head East and make way for what looks like some decent snow through the week and possibly into next weekend...
