Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Friday is here and sunny skies abound! The high could reach 45F today with a light East wind in the a.m. then becoming variable in the afternoon. Saturday looks to be a repeat of today with a few degrees warmer then Sunday we'll see low pressure arrive with cold arctic air injecting itself into the area into mid week. With temps over the last few days being much cooler we've been back at it with our snow making teams as we have fantastic conditions for skiing and riding so it's a great time to bring the family or friends up for quality skiing/riding or just taking a lesson. Remember, we're about "Pure Mtn Fun" so come check us out this Winter !!!!! stay tuned...............................

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People!. Clear skies and cool temps are giving us great conditions for snow making! Today the high should reach 37F with ENE winds from 11-17mph with some possible gusts into the mid 20’s. It looks like beautiful sunny weather will be on tap through Saturday then we’ll see the next wave of moisture move into the area with a 20% chance f snow at this time. With temps over the last few days being much cooler we’ve been back at it with our snow making teams as we have fantastic conditions for skiing and riding so it’s a great time to bring the family or friends up for quality skiing/riding or just taking a lesson. Bear Valley, CA...On Feb. 10-11 the Bear Valley Snowsports Education Foundation (BVSEF) held the first Far West Central Sierra Series race of the season at Bear Valley Mountain last weekend. Racers ages seven to sixteen demonstrated their technical skills, racing slalom on Saturday and Sunday. Participating teams included Bear Valley, Dodge Ridge, China Peak, Yosemite and Sierra at Tahoe. Excellent snow conditions, clear skies and cold temperatures provided a great weekend of racing.

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People!. As the crescent moons rises at 5am over the horizon winds have calmed down from last nights peak of 59mph!!! Today could be a few degrees warmer with a possible high of 44F with ESE winds from 8-13mph for early morning then up to 18-23mph during the day. Low pressure moves in today and this evening we could see snowfall as well as overnight and through the day on Monday. 1-3″ is expected to fall with an outside chance of a few more inches if all works in our favor. Alpine County is in the best location for this system and snowfall so don’t be surprised if we see numbers a little higher than the forecast. A return to sunny weather for Tuesday and through the rest of the week coupled with colder temps for the next 5 days will allow us to bring snow making back into the mix to help pad the natural snowfall for the season. We have fantastic conditions for skiing and riding so it’s a great time to bring the family or friends up for quality skiing/riding or just taking a lesson. Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People!. Friday is here and you should be too!A few degrees cooler today with a high of 54F on the way and a NE wind from 5-8mph. We’re gearing up for a great weekend as the weather will be sunny, temps will be in the mid 40’s and the Rassmussen Classic Race will be in effect. A few days of cooler weather are on tap before Monday which looks to try and squeak out some moisture and possibly drop an inch or so of snow over the area. High pressure ridging returns by late Tuesday yet cooler temps will give way to making more snow up here!!!!! We have fantastic conditions for skiing and riding so it’s a great time to bring the family or friends up for quality skiing/riding or just taking a lesson.
