Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! We picked up another 2" yesterday during the day as riding was exceptional for those who ventured forth. Today we'll see a 30% chance of snowfall with temps hovering right around 35F and winds out of the SW from 5-7mph. Thursday ushers in clear weather as High pressure takes hold and sunshine will be the thing through the weekend. Temps will also warm up to the mid 40's and up over the next 3-4 days and the nighttime lows will also increase from 22F tonight to the low 30's by the weekend. Snow coverage is awesome and it's a great time to come and visit Bear Valley. Come on up and Enjoy the easiest drive to any resort on the west slope, All Weather Highway 4, always open, easy and fun! Don't forget about our "Pure Mtn Fun" attitude.
Arnold, CA...Today will be a sunny day in most portions of the West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada region. Rest Of Today: Mostly sunny. At higher elevations...scattered snow showers early in the morning. Breezy. Highs 23 to 38 higher elevations...37 to 45 lower elevations. Little or no new snow accumulation. Prevailing northeast winds 10 to 25 mph decreasing to 5 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Tonight: Mostly clear. Lows 9 to 24 higher elevations...22 to 32 lower elevations. Prevailing north winds up to 10 mph shifting to the southeast after midnight.
Update On The Precautionary (Now Lifted) Lockdown At Bret Harte High School

Angels Camp, CA...We would like to thank Bret Harte Unified School District Superintendent Michael Chimente for some additional details on this mornings incident. "We did have a threat and the campus was placed on precautionary lockdown while ACPD, TCSO and other agencies did a sweep of the campus. The lockdown was lifted at 10:40am this morning. There were no shots fired, no injuries and everyone is safe."

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Clear skies and beautiful stars are the thing here this morning at 5am. Today we'll see clear skies during the first half of the day then clouds will arrive ahead of the coming storm system. The High today should be right around 51F with winds being light and variable. Mixed precip should start to fall sometime after midnight tonight and continue into and thru the weekend. Initial warm temps on the front of the system could keep snowfall above the 8000' level and by early Saturday morning the temperature change should allow the snow level to drop to around 4500'. Bear Valley, CA....Hey Good People! Today is going to be a beautiful day of sunshine with the temps in the the low 40's with ENE winds from 0-5mph. High pressure ridging is in effect over the forecast area for the next 3/4 days before we see yet another return of snow by late Thursday evening. The season has been a producer so far and it looks to continue.........El Nino with the Godzilla one two punch is showing what real winters are supposed to be and we're stoked to have all ya'll come on up and enjoy our "Pure Mtn Fun" attitude coupled with the easiest drive on the west slope to any Ski Resort from the Bay Area and Central Valley. Arnold, CA...Forecast for West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada. Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Widespread rain and snow showers in the evening...then isolated rain and snow showers after midnight. Colder. Lows 15 to 30 higher elevations...28 to 36 lower elevations. No snow accumulation lower elevations...around 1 inch higher elevations. Snow level 5000 feet. Prevailing southwest winds up to 10 mph shifting to the southeast after midnight. Gusts up to 25 mph.

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! 10" of new snow overnight and more is on the way!!!!!!!!! 12" for the current cycle with 94" of the ground and 206" for the season total so far!!!! Today's high will be around 33F with winds out of the SSW from 10-24mph. 3-7" is expected to fall today and possibly another 1-2" tonight. Sunday looks to be mostly cloudy then clearing Monday for the rest of the week. It's powder riding time and all ya'll need to get on up here as the El Nino/Godzilla winter is in effect!!!!
