Bear Valley, CA....The Sierra Avalanche Center (SAC), a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to promoting safe backcountry travel, has partnered with the folks at Bear Valley Mountain Resort to help raise money in support of the only free, daily avalanche forecast for backcountry travelers and enthusiasts in the Ebbetts Pass region .....
Busy West Coast Ski Racing Weekend.....Local Teams, Dodge Ridge and China Peak Take Top Spots at Rasmussen Classic~with Video Enclosed

Mammoth, CA....It's a busy time for local ski racers. Last weekend there were races all over the state as the young speedsters in almost every age group chased dreams of ski racing glory. The 13 year old through adults were at the Clifford Mann Open Giant Slalom in Mammoth. The under 13 year old racers were either at Sugar Bowl, Bear Valley or Snow Summit. Some parents of multi-skier families were literally hundreds of miles apart but tied together electronically with Live-Timing.com, text messages and other ways as they followed the racers run after run...

Hey Good People! A possible chance of snow today with accumulations at around 1″. Temps will remain in the low 30′s today with tonights low around 20 degrees.Unsettled weather pattern for the next few days with a chance of snow tonight and into tomorrow with cloudy sky’s into the weekend. Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Sunny the next few days with high temps in the lower 30′s and lows in the mid teens. A possible wet system is moving in Monday night with snow levels potentially around 8000′ but let’s hope we get the northern Jet flow to shift a bit south and keep it cooler and have lower snow levels. Stay tuned for more on that as the week progresses. December had the most precipitation on record since 1970. Remember to use sunscreen! Bear Valley, CA....Bear Valley Real Estate has just announced that Silver Mountain over 1/2 sold! Prices reduced on the remaining 2 bedroom, 2 bath condos. The new Silver Mountain condos here in Bear Valley are now over 1/2 sold ! Investors bought the completed building out of foreclosure before the units ever went on the market. Then they put the beautiful units up for sale for 30% less than they cost to build....

Hey Good People! The weekend looks to be clear with mostly sunny sky’s and the highs moving into the mid 40′s, lows in the mid 20′s to 30′s. What a beautiful week following a nice series of storms. A possible wet system is moving in Tuesday with snow levels around 8000′ stay tuned for more on that as the weekend progresses. December had the most precipitaion on record since 1970.
