Small Fire in Arnold on Monday Afternoon

Arnold, CA....Multiple crews including Columbia Aircraft responded to a 1/8 of an acre spot fire in the 2000 block of Fairway in Arnold on Monday afternoon. One person suffered 2nd degree burns to the left arm. Cause of fire was dumping coals into a street drain. Full CAL Fire report is enclosed....

Forest Service Continues to Work "Pinecrest Fire" ~ Update By Pat Kaunert

Pinecrest, CA...The Forest Service is continuing to monitor and manage the high elevation, lightning caused "Pinecrest" Fire (remotely located near the Emigrant wilderness, just east of Pinecrest peak). First detected on August 9, 2010, fire spread and fire behavior have been low due to the high moisture content of the live vegetation. The fire is currently estimated at 288 acres in size...

Fire Report for Last Nights Don Pedro Area Fire

Don Pedro, CA...CAL-FIRE TCU has released their initial fire report on last nights fire. There were a total of 6 fires along the J-59 area. All involved grass & vegetation and consumed approximately 60 acres and caused just over $11,000 in damage. The cause is still under investigation and the release is enclosed..

Busy Night in Don Pedro Area

Don Pedro, CA...There were several fires along J-59 last night. There were two main fires of 17 & 40 acres plus a couple of spot fires. The fires kept crews busy from about 7pm until after midnight. We will post the fire report as soon as it comes in. The cause is under investigation. We would like to thank Lt. Robert Anzar of TCFD for sending in the photos...

Vegetation Fire Reported on Orange Blossom Road...Update..Contained at 1.5 Acres

Oakdale, CA...13714 is the address on Orange Blossom Road that Crews from multiple agencies and all aircraft are heading to on a very busy late summer day. If you see the Cavalry on the move that is where they are heading on this incident. More to follow if needed... Update as of 2:09pm...The cause of the fire was determined to be a lawn mower and aircraft are being released now with ground crews on scene for mop up of the 1.5 acre blaze...

Copperopolis, CA...Multiple crews along with all Columbia aircraft are responding to a vegetation fire on Quill Road and Black Creek Copperopolis. Update 2:33pm, Fire is at 3-4 acres. Update 2:48pm, "Fire at 3-5 acres according to CAL Fire Command Center. Crews still working on it." Update 3:21pm, "Fire is being at held at 7 acres. Forward rate of spread has stopped. Near containment." According to Mike at CAL Fire Command Center. More to come if needed...

Bureau of Land Management Firefighters Lending a Helping Hand Here in the Foothills ~ By, Charity Maness

Leaving Arizona on July 27, 2010 an 18+ crew of firefighters from the Gila District Office in Sierra Vista Az, headed out to help fight the fire around the Lake Isabella area. From there, the crew headed north to assist the Forest Service Firefighters with local suppression projects, mainly fuel breaks within the forest. Working out of the Dorrington Station the crew will spend their remaining 5 days in California cutting lines, creating fire breaks, and helping where is most needed.....

Vallecito, CA...The 4 acre fire that occurred on Red Hill Road yesterday was caused by equipment use without spark arrestor. There were no injuries. VALLECITO: HAND CREW 3, LOCAL UNITS RESPONDING: ALTAVILLE/MELONES: CHIEF 220A. MURPHYS: CHIEF 240, , ENGINE 245, WATER TENDER 241, EBBETTS PASS FIRE: ENGINE 436. Cal Fire report enclosed....
