Posted by: Kim_Hamilton on 09/16/2008 01:59 PM
Every fall, large, sluggish flies buzz at windows, around your face, and knock into lampshades. These irritating insects are probably house flies. Scenic Celebration- Hermit Valley, The Rockin’ Stop!~By Kris Fichtner

Posted by: Kim_Hamilton on 09/14/2008 12:24 AM
Hermit Valley was the place to be Saturday for the Scenic Celebration! The weather was gorgeous, with plenty of sunshine, shade from the plentiful forest, and a gentle cooling breeze. Delectable refreshments, food and sweets were available for purchase by Lunch Lady Catering, and the.....

Posted by: Kim_Hamilton on 09/08/2008 12:01 PM
Few landscapes are more inviting than rolling grassland graced with large spreading oaks. The park-like beauty of an oak savanna attracts picnickers as well as developers who may hope that the old trees will lend a touch of grace to their designs. But replacing the grassland with houses, lawns and sidewalks can have devastating effects on the trees. The large, heavy-limbed blue and black oaks that grace our foothills add a great deal of wildlife and aesthetic .....

How to Discourage Wild Animals from Getting Too Cozy~By Ken Churches

Posted by: Kim_Hamilton on 09/03/2008 09:42 AM
Fall seems to be a time when wild animals want into human-built structures such as crawl spaces, attics, sheds and eaves. Here are several suggestions on how to discourage uninvited animal guests from making themselves at home in your home or outbuildings. Animals can be discouraged from staying in many of the same ways you might discourage dreaded human guests. Posted by: thepinetree on 08/27/2008 12:24 PM
Let's say your apple trees have dark, sooty looking branches. Or the iris leaves along your house are yellow and droopy. Perhaps you'd like to know what gray sticky gunk is on your grape leaves.
