Angels Camp, CA...Grace Hills Bible Church in Angels Camp will be hosting a Christmas Candlelight Celebration on Friday, December 23rd at 6:30 PM at Bret Harte High School's Multi-Purpose Room. All ages are welcome and encouraged to attend this evening filled with beautiful music, fellowship and an inspiring message of good news for all. An exciting surprise is also in store for the kids! Dessert and coffee will be available following the service....

Murphys, CA...Matt Mazzei, founder of the Rainbow Delegation which supports the LBGTQ community, will be speaking at the First Congregational Church, Murphys (corner of Church and Algiers Sts.) on Sunday, January 15th after worship, about 11:30. Come to the Williams Room, Eastman Education Center(behind the white picket fence), bring a potluck dish to share and hear this young man describe the dynamic growth of the organization started in Fresno in 2010. Rainbow Delegation has distributed 90,000 rainbow wristbands, symbols of support for LGBTQ people to 73 countries....

Mother Lode Jewish Community’s Annual Hanukkah Party will be held on Saturday, December 24th at 5:00pm at The Lions Hut (Behind the fire station) on Highway 4 in Murphys. High Holy Days Coming Up on October 7th |

The Mother Lode Jewish Community has set plans for the upcoming High Holy Days. We will be holding a Kol Nidre service on the evening of Friday, October 7th at the Orman home in Murphys. The service will be preceded by a potluck dinner at 4:45PM before we start our fast. The Kol Nidre Service will begin at 6PM....

On Sunday, September 11, during and after the 10 a.m. worship service, the First Congregational Church of Murphys will focus on our response as a faith community to the tenth anniversary of the attacks on 9/11/01. While acknowledging the impact of that event, we also will celebrate three new beginnings: our Rally Day, which marks the start of another Sunday School year; our Choir returning from its summer break; and the commissioning of the Pastor Search Committee.....
