Sacramento, CA...A closed low offshore pressure system off of the Central California Coast will gradually move towards the coast and inland over Northern California through Thursday. This system will bring the threat of thunderstorms continuing through at least Wednesday. The most abundant lightning is expected over the mountain and foothills but potential for thunderstorms extends into the valley. Some of the thunderstorms may bring abundant lightning and gusty winds which could produce fire starts....

Angels Camp, CA...Water Conditions: New Melones Lake is currently holding 1,130,008 acre-feet of water. The lake level dropped two feet this week, and is currently at 960 ft. above sea level and 126 ft. from full. The average water temperature is a very warm 78-84 degrees. The lake is stained with mud lines forming near the shore in the afternoon....
Glory Hole Sports employee Gary Powell went fishing with wife Jessica, and son Shane. They caught a hefty cat near the Tuttletown boat launch that weighed over 9-pounds.

Angels Camp, CA,...The main event of the historic Gold Rush town of Angels Camp’s year-long celebration of 165 years since its founding by Henry Angel is set for August 31st, the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, when the Gold Rush Day street fair, scheduled from 11 am to 4 pm, will close Main Street (State Highway 49) in the historic downtown. Gold Rush Day will be the largest event held on Main Street since the frog jumps were held there in the 1920s and ‘30s....
