Angels Camp, CA...Michael L. Hines died August 18, 2013 at his residence in Angels Camp. Born January 31, 1965 in Carmel, CA he was 48 years Old. He was a resident of Angels Camp for the past 36 years moving to Angels Camp from Monterey, CA in 1977. He graduated from Mark Twain Elementary School in 1979 and graduated from Bret Harte High School class of 1983. He was a painting contractor for the past 30 years in Angels Camp, he loved animals, fishing, camping and the outdoors.
Air Traffic over Calaveras County? Just Rm Fire Air Supprt Heading Home

San Andreas, CA...We have had some inbound questions on if there has been an incident in Calaveras County with the helicopters and low flying aircraft. We just checked in with the TCU Command center to confirm that it was just Rim Fire planes and helos heading back to McClellan. The DC-10s, C-130s and the Blackhawk National Guard Helos are working from there. During the day the helicopters usually work from local retardant mixing facilities and refueling stations and only return home at night.
