San Andreas, CA...In this meeting The Calaveas County Board of Supervisors, The Angels Camp City Council, The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce and more participated in a study session looking at the economic picture in the county. This meeting was informational and a great start in the dialogue to bring new ideas and efforts to improving the economic health and vitality of our local economy....

Angels Camp, CA…. Rebel Without a Cause is a film that sympathetically views rebellious, American, restless, misunderstood, middle-class youth. The Bret Harte High School Drama department will dramatically act out this 1950’s film on stage this coming April. The play is based on the tale of youthful defiance, which could have been exploitative - but wasn't, provides a rich, but stylized (and partly out-dated) look at the world of the conformist mid-1950s from the perspective of the main adolescent male character - a troubled teen with ineffectual parents, who faces a new school environment.Read inside for more details…..

(Outdoor Adventure River Specialists) hosted a special V.I.P. private preview screening of the MacGillivray Freeman IMAX film Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk 3D presented by Teva® at the Esquire Theatre in Sacramento. The Media and family (Granger and Grayson), who gave this film a 4 thumbs up, were invited to join them for this special screening on Wednesday evening. The movie chronicles environmental heroes Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Wade Davis, along with their daughters, as they journey down the Colorado River to raise awareness about the world’s growing shortage of fresh water. Veterans and Citizens Turn Out to Support Our Troops

Angels Camp, CA....Veterans and Citizens from throughout Calaveras County showed their support for ur troops today as this is the 5 year Anniversary of the Iraq War. The decorated the corner of Murphys Grade Road and Hwy 49 with flags, banners and signs asking people to "honk in support of our troops." The sounds of horns filled the air for a god portion of the day. When we stopped by we spoke with Suzette Glanville, one of the the supporters, who has a son was in the first wave to enter Baghdad and is currently serving in the Middle East right now....
