Here are some of dogs that are currently at the county shelter and available for adoption. While these dogs are at the county shelter, Calaveras Humane Socoety is working to get them out and into their forever homes. Charlie is a Bloodhound/German Shepherd mix and is about 10 to 12 months old. He weighs 51 lbs., and is still growing. Lola is an Anatolian mix (maybe Saluki) and is about 2 years old. Frogtown, CA....Frogtown continues its resurgence as not only a premier county fair but also as a great venue for events. Frogtown is now being maintained year round in a park like setting and is even home to a full time business Barrels of Monkeez. On July 27th The Blues N Bones Blues and BBQ festival returned for a second year and built on last year's success with an even larger attendance base this year....

Calaveras Community Foundation Adds Two Board Members

Angels Camp, CA...Terry Beaudoin and Gil Valtierra were recently welcomed to the Calaveras Community Foundation (CCF) Board of Directors. The Beaudoin family moved to Valley Springs in 1986. Since then Terry has been involved in several local fund raising efforts and was on the founding board of the “Kids Place” after school day care which is still running at Valley Springs Elementary. He is a former Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus. Terry and wife Sharon raised their 2 children in the Calaveras school system and have developed a great love for this county...
