Bring your sister, your brother, Mom & Dad, your neighbor, your grandparents and your friends. Calaveras Follies....The Commencement Performance!

Celebrate the sixth annual Calaveras Follies April 17, 2010 at Frogtown with an entirely new show – “The Commencement Performance,” in which local celebrity “students” lip-synch songs about their future. This hilarious collection of snippets from a famous commencement speech assisted by Mark Wilson and directed by Terri Wilson. The Follies begins at 6 p.m. in Mark Twain Hall and consists of more than 20 outrageous acts by well-known community members who are volunteering their time for the Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program. Included in the evening festivities are draped tables of gourmet appetizers, no-host bar, and a lively raffle of donated items showcased in gift baskets valued at more than $500 each....

Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital Has Stepped Up to the Plate Again!

Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital in San Andreas has stepped up to the plate again in support of the local community by agreeing to sponsor the Kid's Activity Area at the 2010 Home & Garden Show which will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 2nd & 3rd at the Fairgrounds. The Kid's Activity area will allow parents to drop off their kids so they can shop at the more than 50 Vendors planned for the show. The Kid's Activity Area will feature a giant Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday Afternoon at 2:00 pm....

Is the Water Boiling? Council Orders Outside Audit of Water Departments

Angels Camp, CA...The Angels Camp City Council voted to 4-1 to order an outside audit of operations at the fresh and waste water operations at the City. Mayor Lynch made a presentation showing that the measurements at the City's treatment facilities have been as much as 25% off. In one instance the throughput was shown as significantly higher than was actually possible based on the water that was delivered to the plant...

Angels Camp, CA...The Angels Camp City Council Meeting came to you tonight from the Bret Harte Campus. Topping off the meeting were the Mark Twain School District children reading their Kindness Hero Essays. It was a poignant and touching Kindness Essay program this evening. It really displayed the depth and breath of human caring and devotion. Some of these young little students displayed wisdom beyond their years. The replay of tonight's webcast is enclosed....
