Murphys, CA...A 49 year old Angels Camp man sustained minor injuries in a motorcycle accident yesterday afternoon on Hwy 4. A 59 year old Murphys Man was driving his 1994 Toyota Tacoma westbound on Hwy 4 west of Pennsylvania Gulch Road preparing to turn right. Angels Camp, CA..The Grand Opening of Veronica's Princess and the Pea Party Room was held on Thursday, May 16. The opening ceremony and ribbon cutting was after the annual Fair Children's Parade. Angels Camp's Vice Mayor, Jack Lynch, officiated, as did the new business owner, Veronica Stow, and 'Princess Pia'. Princess and the Pea Party Room is designed to cater to 'princesses' of all ages with fantasy parties designed especially for them. The Party Room is beautifully decorated and is stocked with regal furniture, crystal, china, tiaras, fanciful costumes, and all sorts of other things that make for a real princess party. SONORA, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation announces spring recreation area openings and changes to gate closure times at New Melones Lake. Effective Thursday, May 23, most recreation facilities at New Melones Lake will be open for public use including: All campgrounds will open with the exception of Chamise Campground in the Tuttletown Recreation Area, which will remain closed until further notice due to necessary infrastructure repairs. San Andreas, CA...For over two decades, Calaveras Arts Council has hosted free summer concerts. Music in the Parks 2013 will be another great music series. The first day of summer starts a week earlier in Calaveras County. On Wednesday, June 12, the Calaveras Arts Council begins its 22nd year of providing free music in the county parks from Copperopolis to Arnold, and Valley Springs to Rail Road Flat. This fun fill musical road show is called Music in the Parks. Amador & Calaveras, CA...Starting 6/3 PG&E will be doing air patrols in all of Amador and Calaveras county. We are starting and will finish with Amador first then moving to Calaveras county by the end of the week. This should take us two weeks to complete. Be prepared to see a low flying helicopter over all of the power lines in the area...
