Posted by: thepinetree on 06/10/2008 10:04 AM
San Andreas, CA...The Lake Tulloch item packed the gallery for today's meeting. Even New10 from Sacramento was here for the festivities. There was a couple of hours of back and forth from both side of this issue. They would like to see short term rentals banned from their area. An even larger number of citizens testified at the meeting about the vital nature of the vacation rental business to our local economy. Testifying were not only real estate and property professionals from the Copperopolis area but Don Fry, Doug Shinn, Dan Sieder, Anna Gutierrez and others from around the county weighed in on the topic.... Tuttletown, CA....On Saturday morning, bright and early, we ventured across the bridge to Tuolumne County where the Tuttletown Recreation Area was playing host to the Annual Fun Fishing Day for Kids hosted by the CAST for Kids Foundation. This event is held for disabled or disadvantaged children between the ages of 5~16. Eleven local skippers brought out their boats to take the kids fishing and the Calaveras County Sheriff's Department was also on had to take kids on boat rides. Numerous organizations were on hand to make sure the kids had a great day. They could even get their picture taken and mounted on a plaque for free.
