Angels Camp, CA....Soroptimist International of Calaveras County held their annual installation of officers at Utica Park on June 22nd. Club members enjoyed a delightful Hawaiian luncheon with hula dancing at Utica Park as President-Elect Karen Strand took the helm as SICC's 2008-2009 President. Former Club member Normal Rash served as the presiding installation officer. Paulette Stelte lent her expertise as the day's M.C. and Kathi Flores and others provided delicious pot luck dishes......

One for the Ages...This Morning's Board of Supervisors Meeting Replay and Summary are Enclosed

San Andreas, CA...This morning's Calaveras County Board of Supervisors meeting was a contentious affair to say the least. It runs just under two hours and the fast forward and rewind features will work as soon as we have made one pass. The Grand Jury Report had already influenced the public comment sessions and also near the end of the meeting the Board itself. The bulk of the meeting time was taken up with discussion on the upcoming placement of the county's bonds. The Replay and Summary are Enclosed...

Calaveras County Behavioral Health Services tops the agenda; First 5 Calaveras will submit their State Annual Report; A Resolution Item establishing the schedule of fees and land classification for property related solid waste parcel fees for FY 08/09; Discussion and possible action regarding Resolutions, 3, adopting FY 08/09 Preliminary Budget; Discussion and possible action regarding Resolution authorizing changes to the position control list FY 08/09 new positions and reclassifications; Measure J (Jail Funding) is back on the agenda. They will call to order at 5pm with a City Council/Planning Commission Workshop to discuss Code Enforcement Issues. They will then start their Regular meeting at 6pm. They will start the meeting with a Public Hearing and discussion on the Community Development Block Grant; An approval of lease with Angels Camp Professional Complex for office space located at 571 Stanislaus Ave., Ste.
