City of Angels Camp City Council Has a Busy Week Planned

Angels Camp, CA....The City of Angels Camp City Council will hold several meetings next week. They will meet on Monday April 19th, 21st and 22nd at 11am at the Library at CAMPS to Interview possible candidates for City Administrator. They will also meet Tuesday April 20th starting at 4pm with a Special Presentation by Springbrook Software. They will then call the meeting to order at 5pm and adjourn to Closed Sessions. Angels Camp Police Department Makes Arrests

On April 14, 2010 at approximately 1431 hours, Angels Camp Police officers made a vehicle stop in the 1400 block of Highway 4 for a traffic violation. While speaking with the driver and passenger of the vehicle the officer observed signs of intoxication. After further investigation the driver Martin Bacoccini, 50 of Copperopolis was arrested for driving under the influence and passenger Marcelle Nuttall, 37 of Copperopolis was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, and being under the influence of a controlled substance.....

Angels Camp, CA...At the Angels Camp Business Association held it's monthly meeting at Camps earlier this week. It was a "Meet the Candidates" Mixer during the social hour before the presentation by Rosie Sundell on Bear Valley Development. Angels Camp, CA....With excitement building for the May 13-16, 2010 Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee, residents should take note of the following entry deadlines. All Livestock, Horse Show, Wine, Junior and Adult entries are due on Saturday April 17, the fair office will be open from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.“If you drew it, grew it or sewed it youth entry forms are due with the actual entry on May 4 & 5. There are openings for the Calaveras Idol Competition. The entry deadline is April 30. The Ropin’ & Wranglin’ events will be open to competitors until the individual event is full....

Angels Camp Police Department Arrests Antioch Male for Sexual Assault~Press Release

On April 4, 2010 at approximately 1930 hours, Angels Camp Police responded to Sutter Hospital in Antioch to investigate the report of a sexual assault that occurred at Wyndam Resorts in Angels Camp. The victim, a male adult reported that he had been sexually assaulted by another male staying with him at the resort after he had become intoxicated. ...

Angels Camp Male Arrested for Possession of Stolen Property, Petty Theft and Trespassing~Press Release

On April 6, 2010 at approximately 2218 hours, Angels Camp Police officers interrupted a theft of gasoline in progress at the Greenhorn Creek Golf Course maintenance yard. Officers arrived and found several large gas cans and a garden hose coming from a large fuel tank. Officers subsequently located and arrested David Anthony Gamblin, 46 of Angels Camp and Brett Lane Webber, 54 of Angels Camp hiding behind a nearby shed. Both men made statements regarding their involvement in the theft....
