City of Angels Camp to Hold Planning Commission Workshop Next Tuesday |

| Angels Camp, CA.....The City of Angels Camp will hold a Planning Commission Workshop on Tuesday March 2, 2010 starting at 4pm. The workshop will review of California Planning Law as related to zoning and general plan land use compliance. They will then adjourn to closed session for conference with legal counsel for an existing litigation. The regular meeting will begin at 6pm. Some of the agenda items are: Brand Identity final approval; Dedication of Carriage House in honor of Emily Stemler; Approve proposal from Charles R. Leitzell to incorporate the streets of Greenhorn Creek into the City's pavement management system; Obligation of USDA Loan/Grant Funding fort the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant Phase III Improvements and more. Agenda is enclosed.... |

| The Calaveras Gem and Mineral Society will be hosting our annual Gem and Jewelry Show and Sale, on March 27th & 28th at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds in Angels Camp. This is our annual fundraiser. All monies taken in goes toward the up keep of the club house and the shop. We teach all who are interested in the lapidary arts. The Calaveras Gem and Mineral Society has been in Angels Camp since 1948..... |

| Angels Camp, CA....The Sheron McCarthy Memorial Concert will be held on Saturday, April 17th at 6:30 PM in the Bret Harte Theater. The Columbia Big Band, The Mario Flores Latin Jazz Band, and many of our talented musicians here at Bret Harte will be performing a wide selection of jazz. This concert benefits the Bret Harte Music Boosters scholarship fund, which provides scholarships to students who have made music part of their life while in High School. The Columbia Big Band is led by the engaging saxophonist extraordinaire Rod Harris and will include some of the best musicians in the local area. The Mario Flores Latin ...... |

4-H Holds Annual Cake Contest and Auction! |

Angels Camp, CA....On Monday Night this week, Angelus Ranus 4-H Club held its Annual Cake Contest and Auction at the Mark Twain Elementary School. Club Members baked and decorated cakes and brought them to the meeting where they were sold to the highest bidder. They also voted on their favorite cakes and 4 winners are chosen in each of the categories....
