Angels Camp, CA.....The 49th annual Angels Camp Fire Department Fireman’s Fun Day was definitely a ‘fun day’ that had something for everyone. When the families entered the park, the first sight to behold were two massive inflatable bouncy rooms packed with extremely happy laughing children and an inflatable ladder and slide duo that saw nonstop usage. But the bouncy houses were just the beginning of the fun to be had. ....

Angels Camp, CA...Dear Mayor Lynch and Council Members, As members of the Brand Leadership Team, we want to express our great concern with your pending decision to change the terms of the City’s lease with the Calaveras Visitors Bureau and begin charging rent for the building now known as the Visitors Center. We urge you to immediately shelve that idea and to renew the lease on existing terms so that the CVB and the Visitors Center will remain in historic downtown Angels Camp. We say ‘immediately’ because the lease expires in October – less than five weeks away -- and the CVB needs to make a decision on its future now...

Frogtown, CA....Thursday August 26th the Bret Harte Bullfrogs and the Sonora Wild Cats had a cross country scrimmage. The Varsity teams run around 3 miles as the Frosh-Soph team runs about 2 miles. While I was at Frogtown (Calaveras County Fair Grounds) I asked Coach Keith Maurer about his top perfromers for the day. " Conor Fredrick, Kyle Eastman, And two Sophmores Joe Hollett, Kevin Maurer. Said Coach Maurer. Coach Maurer then went on to say "We are not sure who our top 7 will be its wide open right now". I then asked the coach what was your biggest.....
Angels Camp, CA...The Bret Harte Aquatic Center is a beautiful brand new swimming facility located on the Bret Harte High School Campus in Angels Camp. The pool is 30 meters by 25 yards with 11 competition lanes and an adjoining zero entry beach access area. The facility includes men’s and women’s locker rooms with showers and a Red Cross certified lifeguard staff to ensure a safe and healthy swimming environment. The pool will open to the public Labor Day weekend and remain open until November 19. COME JUMP IN!!....
