President Obama's Weekly Address: What You Need To Know About Ebola

Posted by: thepinetree on 10/18/2014 07:38 AM
Washington, DC...Today, I want to take a few minutes to speak with you-directly and clearly-about Ebola: what we're doing about it, and what you need to know. Because meeting a public health challenge like this isn't just a job for government. All of us-citizens, leaders, the media-have a responsibility and a role to play. This is a serious disease, but we can't give in to hysteria or fear-because that only makes it harder to get people the accurate information they need. We have to be guided by the science. We have to remember the basic facts.

Mark Twain Medical Clinic Project Likely To Get Green Light Tonight (Meeting Continued To October 21st)

Posted by: thepinetree on 10/07/2014 02:44 PM
Angels Camp, CA...(The overflow crowd was too large for the firehouse. Hard to have the fire dept ignore those fire safety codes when you are in the firehouse. Meeting continued till October 21st and will be held in larger venue) The Mark Twain Medical Clinic project on Dogtown Road is back before the City Council tonight and is likely to get the green light. Much work has been done since the last meeting to find common ground and meet many of the traffic mitigation objections of the Dogtown - Gardner Lane neighborhoods. We have had a couple of off the record conversations with some of the parties involved and there is a possibility for even better migrations than what will be the official proposal tonight. So looks like we may get the needed job growth and improved or at least not worsened traffic. The complete agenda is enclosed and the meeting starts tonight at 6pm in the Firehouse...

Posted by: thepinetree on 10/04/2014 07:15 AM
Washington, DC...Hi, everybody. I’m at Millennium Steel in Princeton, Indiana, to have a town hall with workers on National Manufacturing Day. Because in many ways, manufacturing is the quintessential middle-class job. And after a decade of losing jobs, American manufacturing is once again adding them – more than 700,000 over the past four and a half years.

Posted by: thepinetree on 10/02/2014 06:00 PM
San Andreas, CA...The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE), Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit, is reminding all residents the burn suspension is still in effect, until further notice.
