Recap of San Andreas Sanitary District Board Meeting Held Wednesday Regarding Proposed Rate Increase |

San Andreas, CA....One of the hot topics discusses at Wednesday evenings San Andreas Sanitary District Meeting was the possibility of proposed rate increase for the San Andreas Area. Why is Rate Adjustment Needed? The District collects wastewater from homes and businesses within San Andreas and then treats and disposes it at its waste water treatment plant. The current monthly sewer rates charged by the District cover the District’s cost necessary to operate, maintain, and service debt on the existing waste water collection and treatment system. It does not cover upgrade improvements to the waste water treatment and costs of operating those improvements in order to maintain compliance with State requirements.....

| San Andreas, CA....The CCWD Board voted 5-0 this morning to accept land and access easements from Trinitas to house a high-tech clustered groundwater monitoring well that will launch its groundwater monitoring program in western Calaveras County. The US geological Survey has been contracted to install the well on the Trinitas Project site to provide the most advanced data gathering tool for groundwater aquifer movements that..... |

Calaveras County, CA....While attending the last Commission meeting it occurred to me that our community needs to know about this wonderful group of men and women who are working so diligently to provide for the recreational needs of our communities. The Calaveras Parks and Recreation Commission was established by the County of Calaveras to initiate the process of creating an efficient and adequately funded system of parks and recreational programs within Calaveras County.....

San Andreas, CA.....The CCWD Board of Directors will meet on Wednesday February 11, 2009 at 9am. Approval of Ingress/Egress Easements to CCWD from Mike Nemee et al for access for the Groundwater Monitoring Program for four residential parcels; Valley Springs Public Utility District Water Service Agreement will be discussed; Copper Valley Ranch Subdivision will be discussed; Memorandum of Understanding with Calaveras County for Septage receiving facility; Contract for Technical assistance and emergency back up with Lake Alpine Water Company will be discussed and Wallace Lake Estates is on the agenda for discussion. Planning Commission Meeting Updates... Ventana LLC Project Postponed Again with no Date Given, Closed Session on Trinitas in Progress Now |

San Andreas, CA....At the Planning Commission Meeting this morning, The Ventana LLC, Project has been postponed with no date given for being put back on the agenda. During the Public Comment period, Holly Mines addressed the Commission on the need for progress on the Housing Element for the General Plan. The biggest elephant in the room is the Closed Session Item regarding Trinitas. The lot line adjustment was approved for project # 008-85 As-Built Variance for Steve & Renee Travis. Meeting Video to come later so stay tuned....

Angels Camp, CA...The CCOG along with Calaveras County held two Transit Meetings earlier this week. These are the presentation slides from the two meetings. The workshops were held to discuss how to minimize the impacts of reduced funding on our local transit systems. These workshops were part of Calaveras Transit Short Range Transit Plan update....

VALLEJO, Calif., Feb. 4, 2009 –The deadline for submitting applications for the Pacific Southwest California Recreation Resource Advisory Committee (RRAC) has been extended to March 6, 2009. The U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) are seeking applications for the following three positions on the 11 member RRAC: Winter motorized recreation such as snowmobiling; hunting and fishing; and motorized outfitting and guiding or local environmental groups.....
