State & Local Public Servants Average $51.66 Per Hour, Those They Serve Average $34.77.

Posted by: thepinetree on 12/28/2019 09:40 AM
Washington, DC...According to the latest numbers released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics the public sector continues to be the most lucrative portion of our economy to work. Historically public sector jobs provided security at a lower compensation rate as a trade off. Government jobs now provide not only security but much higher average hourly compensation. Has the SEIU and other Public Employee Unions done for Government Workers what the UAW did for the Auto Workers in the 70s & 80s? Have they created a wage structure that is unsustainable in the long run? State and local government compensation averaged $51.66 per hour worked in September 2019 while private industry could only manages $34.77 the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported.

Congressman McClintock Says Speaker Pelosi Abusing Her Powers

Posted by: thepinetree on 12/21/2019 11:13 AM
Washington, DC...Congressman Tom McClintock today issued the following statement in response to the Speaker’s announcement that she is indefinitely delaying transmittal of the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate for trial: The Speaker of the House has no authority superior to, or independent of, the House of Representatives. The transmittal of official acts of the House is strictly a ministerial function of that office.

Congressman McClintock on His Opposition to the Impeachment of the President

Posted by: thepinetree on 12/19/2019 07:25 AM
Washington, DC...Nullifying a national election requires an overwhelming case of high crimes, supported by indisputable evidence that the vast majority of the nation finds compelling. Article I is a made-up crime called “abuse of office.” It does not charge the President broke any law, but rather that Congress doesn’t like the way he lawfully discharged his constitutional duties. This would reduce the Presidency to that of a minister serving at the pleasure of Congress, destroying the separation of powers at the heart of our Constitution.

President Donald J. Trump to the Speaker of the House of Representatives

Posted by: thepinetree on 12/17/2019 08:51 PM
Washington, D.C....Dear Madam Speaker: I write to express my strongest and most powerful protest against the partisan impeachment crusade being pursued by the Democrats in the House of Representatives. This impeachment represents an unprecedented and unconstitutional abuse of power by Democrat Lawmakers, unequaled in nearly two and a half centuries of American legislative history. The Articles of Impeachment introduced by the House Judiciary Committee are not recognizable under any standard of Constitutional theory, interpretation, or jurisprudence. They include no crimes, no misdemeanors, and no offenses whatsoever. You have cheapened the importance of the very ugly word, impeachment!

A Time to Look Back as We Move Forward. The Federalist Papers Number Sixteen by Publius. Introduction by John Hamilton

Posted by: thepinetree on 12/15/2019 09:52 AM
Arnold, CA...Federalist Sixteen was written by Alexander Hamilton and is a continuation of "The Insufficiency of the Present Confederation to Preserve the Union" and is below our intro and is available in an audio format if you click the image below. In our sharply politically divided country it may be time for us all to look back and reaffirm that our country really is a collection of ideas and ideals. The Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness that we all at times take for granted was hard fought and narrowly won. In the end our allegiance is not to a King, Dictator or Strong Man but too each other. One thing the founding fathers all agreed on was that human nature is subject to weakness and they took into account human frailties. They devised a system that has at many times protected us from man's and woman's worst enemy which is the reflection that stares back at us all from the mirror.
