Posted by: thepinetree on 07/17/2008 08:42 AM
San Andreas, CA...UPDATE....The Closed Session that was continued this evening at 5pm this evening adjourned around the 8pm hour. We are not sure if it will be continued or of it is complete. We also have not heard any of the outcome as of yet......The marathon closed session continues. We would like to thank Supervisor Clerk Carol Gates for giving us a call with the status! They still do not have an outcome and it will resume Friday Night at 5:00pm. There is obviously no official word as to the actual subject matter of this closed session as it is a "Closed Session". It is known that it is pertaining to employee matters and due to recent events it is assumed that the Closed Session is regarding the status of the CDA Director but this cannot be verified. What from we have heard there has been no outcome of this Closed Session that began on Tuesday as of yet.

Angels Camp Leading The Way...Draft Large Format AKA "Big Box" Retail Development Guidelines Have Been Released By ~ John Hamilton

Posted by: thepinetree on 07/10/2008 01:24 PM
Angels Camp, CA...The City of Angels Camp has prepared a Draft Large Format, AKA "Big Box" Retail Developement Guidelines. The planning on this document was spearheaded by Planning Commissioners Bob Middleton and Henry Petithomme. We have always thought someone like Commissioner Middleton's input would be vital. This topic has the potential to impact him personally "He and his family own Middleton's Furniture and Appliances, Middleton's Hallmark and also the Mark Twain Shopping Center." If you could get a document crafted that addressed his concerns as well as still make the area attractive for investment then as a community you should be on the right track. Interim Planning Director Bruce Baracco's office forwarded us the draft guidelines. These draft guidelines will also be the subject of discussion at next weeks Angels Camp Business Association Meeting. Let them know what you think! The Draft Guidelines are enclosed...

Open Letter From Vali Cooper & Associates On Exit Report~By Brad Peterson (Update CAO Bob Lawton to Release Official Report on Thursday July 10th)

Posted by: Kim_Hamilton on 07/09/2008 01:02 PM
San Andreas, contacted both Vali Cooper and CAO Bob Lawton's office since the existence of the exit report became known shortly after Vali Cooper was notified that their services would not be needed. Vali Cooper was understandably uncomfortable talking about this report to the media until the final report was made public. When we spoke to CAO Bob Lawton's office early last week, they had expected the report to be completed by last Friday, July 4th. We just spoke with CAO Lawton a few moments ago and his office will be emailing us the Official Report tomorrow.... "On June 12th 2008, a “draft report” (progress report) was submitted to the CDA Director for review and comment by June 17th. On June 16th 2008, VC&A was told by the CDA Director that our presence within the building department would no longer be required for the remaining two weeks of the “on-call” contract. Following repeated requests by VC&A for written comments from the CDA on the report between June 13th and June 27th 2008, the CDA Director indicated that the agency would need until July 2nd 2008 to respond.....
