Arnold, CA....ThePineTree.net is planning to live stream this event for your viewing pleasure. Our "Live" link will go up shortly before they begin between 5:30~6pm. We will also have video replay up soon after this eve's event....Sequoia Woods Country Club is the location of a District 3 Candidate's night with question and answer panels for both District 3 supervisor candidates and sheriff candidates. The format will follow the same format as the La Contenta event held April 9th. The California Energy Commission today released the applications for the Clean Energy Business Financing Program (CEBFP), making available more than $30 million in low-interest loans to eligible California clean energy manufacturing businesses. The CEBFP will use American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Recovery Act), State Energy Program (SEP) funds for 2.75 percent interest rate loans to private companies to reduce energy use, increase renewable energy generation, and create and retain California jobs....

General Plan Update Alternatives

A report summarizing the results of seven community workshops held throughout the County in March to receive public input on the General Plan land use alternatives is now available for review both on-line and at the Calaveras County Planning Department. Also available is the staff report to the Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission describing the workshop summary report and its conclusions. The summary report details the overall results of the workshops as well as results by each individual workshop location. Appendix A in the report contains the verbatim comments made at the seven workshops. A joint Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission study session will be held April 20, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at Town Hall, 24 Churchill Road, San Andreas. On April 12th, 2010, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed SB 401 by Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis), legislation that will bring much of our state tax policy in line with federal policy while specifically providing greater tax relief to struggling California homeowners who have sold their homes as short sales or modified their mortgage loans. This bill will also assist companies that are developing new renewable energy projects in the state that are financed by economic stimulus grants received through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Recovery Act)....
