Major Injuries to La Grange Man in Hwy 132 Collision

La Grange, CA...On February 4, 2020, at approximately 2:30 P.M, a 26-year-old male from La Grange, CA was driving his 2003 Ford Focus westbound on State Route 132, just west of Zarzamora Street at a high of speed. The driver lost control of his vehicle and allowed it to travel off the north roadway edge of State Route 132. After leaving the roadway, the vehicle traveled over a berm and became airborne. While in the air, the vehicle began to overturn and landed on the ground. After landing on the ground, the vehicle continued to overturn until it collided into a tree.

Vallecito, CA...Dennis Mills has served the residents in the 4th Supervisorial District for 5 years. He was elected first as Director to the Calaveras County Water District 2014. In 2016, the voters of the district overwhelmingly elected Dennis to serve them on the Board of Supervisors serving Vallecito, Copperopolis and Angels Camp. Over these years Dennis spent his full time attention on these responsibilities.

CAL FIRE Funds Forest Health and Resiliency Projects on Forests Throughout California

Sacramento, CA...California’s Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) has awarded $67 million for landscape-scale land management projects intended to restore and maintain healthy forests, conserve working forests, and enhance carbon storage in California’s forests. The grants were awarded by CAL FIRE’s Forest Health and Forest Legacy Programs to local and regional partners and collaboratives implementing forest treatment and conservation activities on state, local, tribal, federal, and private lands. This year’s funded projects are distributed between 13 counties covering the length of California, from Siskiyou to San Diego.

Proclamation on Suspension of Entry as Immigrants and Nonimmigrants of Persons who Pose a Risk of Transmitting 2019 Novel Coronavirus

Washington, DC...The United States has confirmed cases of individuals who have a severe acute respiratory illness caused by a novel (new) coronavirus (“2019-nCoV”) (“the virus”) first detected in Wuhan, Hubei Province, People’s Republic of China (“China”). The virus was discovered in China in December 2019. As of January 31, 2020, Chinese health officials have reported approximately 10,000 confirmed cases of 2019-nCoV in China, more than the number of confirmed cases of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) during its 2003 outbreak. An additional 114 cases have been confirmed across 22 other countries; in several of these cases, the infected individuals had not visited China. More than 200 people have died from the virus, all in China.
