Our Board of Supervisors Will be Busy Bees on Tuesday Morning

San Andreas, CA.....Our Board of Supervisors have a busy Tuesday planned. They start off the meeting with some agenda items then move on to Budget Hearings. Some of the agenda items being discussed are a Resolution Item approving the first amendment of the Solid Waste Collection and Hauling Permit between Amador/Calaveras Disposal and Calaveras County; A Resolution Item amending the basis of funding and calculation for the Land Use Departments Designated Fund 54300000; A Resolution Item authorizing an extension of a subdivision agreement with CRV Enterprises, Inc for Olive Orchard Estates; A Resolution Item accepting as complete a portion of road improvements authorizing release of a portion of the security and amending subdivision agreement for Copper Hills; A Minute Order approving and authorizing Board Chair to sign the certification statement regarding approval of child care priorties for general child care and development funds and state preschools. San Andreas, CA....CCWD will be holding a Special meeting on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 9am. They will be awarding the construction contract for the Copperopolis Main Street Water Line: Approving Amendment to Upper Mokelumne River Watershed Authority; Approve Interim revised Water Supply Agreement with LaContenta investors for LaContenta Wastewater storage and disposal; There will also be a Public Hearing for adopting a FY 08/09 Budget; Discussion regarding the Integrated Water Management Plans for the Mokelumne/Amador/Calaveras and Stanislaus/Tuolumne Rivers; and a discussion regarding the request for inclusion of a Water Plan Element into the County General Plan. San Andreas, CA...The Calaveras County Planning Commission is back in action Thursday, June 19th at 9am. There will be a Public Hearing regarding California Asbestos Monofill, Inc. The project site is located on 675 acres approximately 5 miles southeast of Copperopolis. They are requesting a Zoning Amendment and revised conditional use permit addendum to the EIR. Protest Sign on Marriages at The Government Center and Clearing Up Any Misconceptions

San Andreas, CA...There was one protest sign at the Government Center this morning and we stopped briefly with the people holding the sign. They were very civil and stated that they were not protesting the couple behind them but where trying to highlight what they felt were judges legislating from the bench. We also has the chance to speak with Calaveras County Clerk Recorder Karen Varni about how the county's position has been misstated primarily by the ABC affiliate from San Francisco as not performing same sex marriages. As many of you know all the departments in the County have been hit fiscally. Karen's office had already decided to issue marriage licenses only and stop performing the ceremonies themselves on purely time and fiscal grounds...

Valley Springs, CA....The Greater Valley Springs Advisory Group (GVSAG), an ad hoc group of citizens working to help create a healthy community and a healthy economy, now has revised Topic Visions and new alternatives for “Valley Springs Town Center” and “Greater Valley Springs Planning Area” maps posted on their web site. San Andreas, CA....Our Calaveras County Board of Supervisors are back in action Tuesday morning at 9am. Some of the agenda items being discussed are a RESOLUTION authorizing amendment to Professional Services Agreement with Weatherby-Reynolds-Fritson Engineering and Design for plan checking services, in an amount not to exceed $85,000, and extending term of existing agreement to December 31, 2008; MINUTE ORDER authorizing Board Chair to execute Standard Agreement 08-0122, between Calaveras County and CDFA, Weed Management, in an amount not to exceed $17,186.40, for Fiscal Years 2008/09; Dept. of Agriculture; RESOLUTION approving contract extension with California Forensic Medical Group, Inc., for medical services for jail inmates,; Sheriff - Board action: RESOLUTION adjusting the FY 2007-2008 budget for Calaveras County Sheriff, in the amount of $34,800.00, for payment of Kirchhoff & Associates contract; along with a BUDGET TRANSFER, for said amount, in conjunction therewith; (4/5 vote required) Sheriff; COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY Discussion and possible action re: the introduction/first reading of an ordinance approving revisions to Chapter 15.06 Flood Damage Prevention; Community Development Agency. City of Angels Camp City Council to Meet on Tuesday Eve...."Live" Streaming at 6pm....Replay Video Up Later

Angels Camp, CA....Meeting Recap....The meeting was adjourned at 7pm. It was a light meeting. The City Council approved approximately $4200 for an audit of the TOT Program. There were comments from the public that this may be an unnecessary expense. It was however brought forward, that the TOT program contributes over $700,000 to the City's budget. All of the items passed on the agenda.. The REPLAY will be up later tonight. We are "Live" Streaming the Angels Camp City Council Meeting starting at 6pm. Enjoy.....The Angels Camp City Council will meet Tuesday eve at 5pm. They will start off the evening with a City Council Workshop regarding the North Angels Trunkline with an update from City Engineer. The regular meeting will follow at 6pm. The Transient Occupancy Tax(TOT) is back on the agenda this week as they approve an agreement to conduct an audit of the transient occupancy tax payments from local motels, cottages, B&B's and other transient occupancy tax generators. Arnold Mobility Plan Being Adopted by the CCOG on July 2nd~By Tyler Sommerset

The Arnold Mobility Plan being adopted by the Calaveras Council of Governments on Wednesday, July 2nd at 6:30pm. As you all know, this has been a year long process of looking at the State Route 4 corridor through Arnold. We have 31 potential projects listed in the document and look forward to taking the next steps. Next steps include submitting the document to the Planning Commission for review and recommendation to the Board of Supervisors for adoption and inclusion in the Environmental Analysis for the General Plan update....
