Calaveras County Behavioral Health Services tops the agenda; First 5 Calaveras will submit their State Annual Report; A Resolution Item establishing the schedule of fees and land classification for property related solid waste parcel fees for FY 08/09; Discussion and possible action regarding Resolutions, 3, adopting FY 08/09 Preliminary Budget; Discussion and possible action regarding Resolution authorizing changes to the position control list FY 08/09 new positions and reclassifications; Measure J (Jail Funding) is back on the agenda. Angels Camp, CA....The Angels Camp City Council will meet on Tuesday evening for their first July meeting. They will call to order at 5pm with a City Council/Planning Commission Workshop to discuss Code Enforcement Issues. They will then start their Regular meeting at 6pm. They will start the meeting with a Public Hearing and discussion on the Community Development Block Grant; An approval of lease with Angels Camp Professional Complex for office space located at 571 Stanislaus Ave., Ste. San Andreas, CA.....The Calaveras Council of Governments is scheduled to meet on Wednesday July 2nd at 6:30pm at the BOS Chambers in San Andreas. Something very exciting that is happening at this meeting is the adoption of the of Arnold Rural Livable Mobility Plan and Presentation by Stantec Consultants; Possible adoption of the Arnold Rural Lovable Mobility Plan; Review and adoption of the 08/09 Unmet Transit Needs Findings Report; and a Contract Summary approving RBF Consulting contract for the Wagon Trail Realignment Project. Calaveras County Taxpayers Association Endorses the Trinitas Project~Video Enclosed (Updated With CCTA Press Release)

Valley Springs, CA...The Calaveras County Taxpayers Association took a tour and met with the Developers of the Trinitas Olive Orchards & Golf Course for several hours on Friday. They reached the conclusion that the Trinitas Project deserves their support. The CCTA is the second community organization to stand behind the project publicly in less than a week. Community Development Agency Leads Meetings to Work on Improved Processes~By John Hamilton

San Andreas, CA...Stephanie Moreno and others from the Calaveras County Community Development Agency are leading a series of Meetings to further improve efficiency's between the different community groups and agencies involved in the development process in the County. We stopped by the second of those meetings last week at the Calaveras Main Library in San Andreas. The main agenda item was to work on an interdepartmental and inter-agency check list for those wishing to build in the county. Representatives from the new Calaveras County Parks & Rec Commission, CCWD, Calaveras County Building and Planning Departments, Fire Agency Representatives, Builders Association Representatives and more were on hand for the discussions....

Health Precautions Advised for Smoke in Air

San Andreas, CA...Smoke from the fires burning in Northern California is affecting parts of Calaveras County. This is resulting in poor air quality that can be harmful to residents, especially persons who are more sensitive to the effects of smoke. The Calaveras County Public Health Department and Air Pollution Control District are advising residents to take precautions to prevent exposure to wildfire smoke. All persons who can see or smell smoke, should avoid outdoor activities...
