Bria Heintz to Defend Frog Jump Title With ‘Skinny Legs’ |

FROGTOWN, CA... Bria Heintz will return to defend her title at the Jumping Frog Jubilee this year with a frog to be known as “Skinny Legs.” The seven-year-old leaped to victory in 2021 with a jump of 20 feet and 1 inch – short of the 21 feet 5 and ¾ inches World’s Record – but creating lots of excitement.

Angels Camp, CA...A bit of a look back at 2019 to get you in the mood for Tomorrow's big kick off parade for this year's Calaveras County Fair and Frog Jump Jubilee. Ladies, Gents, Boys & Girls...The 2019 Calaveras County Fair & Frog Jump Jubilee is underway. The Youth Parade led the way through Historic Downtown Angels Camp. The clouds parted and the sun made an appearance to welcome in the festivities. One interesting thing was the abundance of camera crews with very expensive equipment on hand getting footage in the can. We asked who they were shooting for and there is a Netflix crew in town for this weekend to shoot a documentary on the Frog Jump and what it takes to win. So if Rosie the Ribbiter's record falls it will become part of a Netflix Feature.

Frogtown, USA...The Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee is one of the longest running events in the State of California. Its earliest roots date back to 1893, held that year in Copperopolis. The fair eventually found a permanent home outside of Angels Camp. In the spirit of the old movie classic "State Fair," the Calaveras County Fair is a blend of entertainment, exhibits, livestock, arena events, great food and our signature event, the International Frog Jump. This piece of Americana will have you Leaping to return year after year.

Angels Camp, CA...(Frogtown, USA)..The Miss Calaveras Pageant is always held on the first day of the fair. So we will have to wait until Thursday night to see who the 2022 Miss Calaveras is but here is a look back at our coverage from last year. Congratulations to 2021 Miss Calaveras, Acadia Moes, and her court First Princess Emma Darmsted and Second Princess, Taylor Wilden! We had posted brief announcements earlier but we like to post a summary article that contains photos and video for that year so people can find all of our coverage in one spot. Sacramento, CA...Assemblyman Frank Bigelow and Senator Andreas Borgeas hosted the 46th Annual Calaveras County Frog Jump competition at the Capitol’s South Lawn this afternoon. “This is one of my favorite events,” notes Assemblyman Bigelow, “We were glad to bring a little fun back to the Capitol after a couple of years off due to the pandemic. And we had a great turn out!”
