Angels Camp, CA...The 2009 Saddle Queen contestants polished their public speaking at the latest Chamber Mixer. The contestants did a great job speaking for the good sized crowd at Camps. Saddle Queen program organizer Michelle Lee was on hand to introduce the program and the Reigning Saddle Queen Kayte Lowry led off the speeches with the field of Chelsea Flores, Catheryn Gulizia, Katelyn McConahy, Holly Moore, and Kathryn Stephens each taking their turn at the mike. The 2009 Saddle Queen Competition gets the arena events started this year at 1pm on Thursday. Make sure you attend and watch these girls in action...

Calaveras County, CA...Join the Calaveras Chamber of Commerce for their Spring Mixer on April 23rd at CAMPS at Greenhorn Creek. Greenhorn Creek is in Angels Camp on McCauley Ranch Road. The Mixer starts at 5:30pm and is open to all county business people. Mixers are a great opportunity to network and meet people. The Chamber provides a networking table where you can display your material advertising your business or event. Local wines are poured and CAMPS will be serving delicious appetizers.....

Angels Camp, CA...The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce has been one of the driving forces in pushing a real Economic Development Agenda for the county. From the Economic Summit in July, to the approval of an economic development element to the Calaveras County General Plan yesterday at the Board of Supervisor's meeting, the Chamber has had a large part in this. The Chamber and Executive Director Diane Gray has been out in front leading the charge to make sure the county enhances it's position as a place to do business. We had the chance to spend a few minutes chatting with Diane Gray at the new and larger office that the Chamber will be moving...

Murphys, CA....The Calaveras Chamber planned another successful mixer this evening. This month's event was held at the Enchanted Workshop in Murphys. Fabulous wines were provided by Twisted Oak winery. Owner Jeff Stai shared, "its fine wine." Labels on the tasteful wine bottles read "#%#&@!." How twisted is that?.....
