Forest Meadows Food Drive A Huge Windfall For Food Bank

Murphys, CA...The first Forest Meadows Food Drive was held on Monday, December 12 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. to benefit the Resource Connection/Food Bank. Volunteers distributed grocery bags to each resident of Forest Meadows the week before the event with a letter attached asking the resident to fill the bags with needed groceries as well as donate money to the Resource Connection/Food Bank. The bags were donated by Save Mart in Angels Camp....

December 12, 2011..Murphys, CA..Cub Scout Pack 343 assembled for their December meeting last night. Awards of all kinds were presented as Scouts of all ages met with applause and congratulations for their achievements and community service. Besides appearance in a number of Christmas parades and other events, many were honored for their amazing performance in Pack 343's annual food drive...which brought in an amazing 1,500 pounds of food for the Resource Connection Food Bank!

Murphys, CA....The Murphys Irish Day organizing committee, under the leadership of Michelle Plotnik, is at work creating the 2012 celebration that will be held on St. Patrick’s Day, Saturday, March 17. Murphys Irish Day, one of the Mother Lode’s most popular festivals, is presented each year by the Murphys Business Association with proceeds funding the activities of the association as well as community projects and enhancements.
