Murphys, CA...Retired Antioch California Police Officer Dean Eddy passed Away on February 1, 2014 at his home in Murphys, California with his wife and family members by his side. He was a good man who loved his family and friends and was kind to others. he will be missed by us all. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Arlene. 2 Daughters Pam and Cheryl and a son Steven. Also their children and a brother Richard Eddy. Memorial services will be at a later date.

Murphys, CA...Ironstone's Music room was filled last Saturday night at the medical community and community at large honored the work of Doris Barger, Dr. William Griffin MD, and local organizations. Doris Barger, who at 91 is still active in moving healthcare forward in the area. Her efforts span decades and include being one of the founders of the Mark Twain Medical Foundation. Dr. William Griffin M.D. has been intimately involved in healthcare in the area as a radiologist and also in helping Mark Twain regain it's footing and working to bring rural healthcare management specialist MTMC President,Craig Marks in to lead the organization...
