Presenting their first show of the 2009-2010 season, Satori Jazz Dance Company yet again wowed audiences of all ages this weekend at Black Bart Theater in Murphys. Led by artistic director Sarah May, the company produced, "Retrospective: An Evening of Dance", running this past Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Murphys, CA...The Wright Stuff a new team and a first time winner of the 2009 Grape Stomp! Greg and Brian Wright had a huge crush to take the title for this year. They took first place by almost 2 lbs. over last years winner Hatcher Winery team. The stage at this year's stomp was moved to over by the gazebo in Murphy's park. This really opened up the viewing area and made the event seem less crowded. Many people we spoke with thought that this year had one of the largest crowds so far Video's of the semi-finals and finals are enclosed for your viewing pleasure....

Cause of Butte Mountain Structure Fire Under Investigation According to CAL Fire |

Murphys, CA....We have just received the official CAL Fire report on this morning's structure fire that occurred at 2441 Butte Mountain Road in Murphys. The house is a total loss and the fire also spread to 1/4 acre of brush. This fire also claimed the lives of two people. See CAL Fire report enclosed....
