Enough parents spoke up in the last month that the Murphys Dolphins got organized to participate in the fun rec league swim meets this summer with the Ione Marlins and Calaveras Pride! We still don't have a coach for practices however. | Murphys, CA....The Murphys Volunteer Library has awarded a $500.00 Scholarship to Alex Michael Durante for his essay on “Why I’m Proud to Live in America”. Alex has been accepted to the University of Redlands and wants to get a B/A or a B/S. The Murphys Library will continue this scholarship program on an annual basis for one student who has applied to a college, living in either Murphys or Vallecito.
