Fire Update...Structure Fire Off Of Pennsylvania Gulch...Update...Home Under Construction A Complete Loss |

Murphys, CA...Crews are working a structure fire off of Pennsylvania Gulch with threat to vegetation. Lots of cavalry inbound on this one and please use caution and avoid the area... Update as of 12:13pm....looks like they should be able to kep it from spreading to vegetation but more resources inbound for the structure fire... Update as of 12:22pm...Just checked in with TCU Command and they confirmed a fully involved structure with minimal spread to vegetation. Lets be careful our there.... Update...We checked with TCU Command and there were no injuries but a home that was under construction was a complete loss....

Muprhys, CA....Well you know Murphys is a cool place is even the Boys from ZZ Top and Jeff Beck ventured out and about to enjoy it's charms. They were posing for pics, venturing out for coffee, having drinks a local watering holes and visiting local businesses like Murphys Motorcycle Company below. So if even folks who have literately been everywhere and seen almost everything find the charming burg of Murphys worth a look....well that's high praise indeed....

Angels Camp, CA....ZZ Top headlines at Ironstone tonight, but Drummer Frank Beard is a bit of a golf fanatic and arrived in town early to enjoy a round at Greenhorn Creek yesterday. Greenhorn Creek is running a contest on their facebook site for a pair of tickets that was generously provided by the famous visitor. Frank is known to be a scratch golfer, and often participates in tournaments and community events in his hometown of Richmond, Texas where he owns and operated the Top 40 Ranch. The trio of Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard was founded in the late sixties and have been playing together ever since. Prior to ZZ Top, Frank and Dusty had been musical partners for years. Both were members of the two Dallas based groups - The Warlocks then The American Blues. Frank joined ZZ Top in 1969. Two months later, a new bass player was needed for the band. It was at that time that Frank called his longtime friend Dusty Hill to audition. The rest is musical history....
