Murphys, CA...Margot Marie (Thomson) Pratt passed away peacefully on September 11, 2008 at home surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy illness. Margot was born on April 19, 1932 in Berkeley, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold (Tommy) and Margaret Thomson. Beloved wife of 56 years to John Pratt. Loving mother to Bill (Sherry), Terry (Mark), Steve (Laura) and Tom. Devoted Grandmother of 5; Rochelle, Casey, Shawna, Lindsey and Christopher. Survived by sister, Sue (Thomson) Roberts, sister-in-law Denise (Pratt) Garrett (Gerry) and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews...

Murphys, CA.....The Ebbetts Pass Veteran's Memorial District held a ground breaking ceremony today at Murphys Community Park. The 5 members of the board are having a new Veteran's Memorial constructed by Ryan Van Cleave of ETCH. Ryan was on hand with the dedication. Ryan's work features Architectural Concrete Coloring and Design, as well as pre-cast handcrafted benches and state of the art LED lighting. While the first phase of the memorial is being constructed, Lazar Engraved Bricks will be promoted and sold for....

Angels Camp, CA...The Calaveras Enterprise Hosted a District 4 Supervisor Candidates Night this evening at the Bret Harte Theatre in Angels Camp, where there were approximately 40 people in attendance. We had the pleasure of broadcasting this event "Live" for your viewing pleasure. Incumbent Supervisor Tom Tryon and his challenger, Councilman, Lee Seaton were present for this evening. They answered questions both prepared by the Calaveras Enterprise and also the audience. The replay of the evening is enclosed...

Murphys, CA....On Saturday October 4th, Ironstone Amphitheatre presents Bonnie Rait and the Blind Boys of Alabama as their 2008 Summer Season Concert Finale. Doors Open at 6:30pm, Show at 7:30pm. "We are delighted to have Bonnie Raitt returning for our 2008 Season Finale. Bonnie's concert at Ironstone in 2006 has been one of the highlights of our past few seasons. It is great to have her during Grape Stomp for the finale of our best season yet.....

Murphys, CA....YeeHa was the signature chant this Saturday evening at the wonderful concert performance by Willie Nelson and Sara Evans. Sara's classic yet modern sounds matched perfectly with "living legend" sound of Willie Nelson. With the Ironstone Concert Series coming to a summer end, this was a show stopper and one of the most crowded concerts of the series......
