Murphys CA....The Calaveras Community Band opens their summer season in Murphys Park by honoring our Veterans with an evening of patriotic music mixed with toe-tapping tunes. Join us Monday, May 30, 2011 at 6:30PM for a free outdoor concert to celebrate Memorial Day and pay tribute to Veterans and their families, both those now serving our country and those who have sacrificed for our country in the past. Our music for the evening includes America the Beautiful, Armed Forces Salute featuring music for all branches ...........

Munari Winery, Murphys CA.....Sierra Hope hosted it's fourth annual Red Dress Party Saturday night at Munari Winery in Murphys Ca. Raising funds to help those of our Calaveras, Amador, and Tuolumne County residents struggling with HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C, the Red Dress Party has become the "party to be seen at" if you love the look of a red dress...and love those who'd like to go on living......

Murphys Community Club Seeks Volunteers to “Spring Clean” the Town!

Murphys, CA...The Murphys Community Club (MCC) is sponsoring a “Spring Clean” Day in Murphys on June 4th, 2011. Volunteers are to meet in the Murphys Community Park that day at 10:00 AM. The MCC will be on hand to organize volunteers into groups to do specific clean-up projects throughout town, mostly in the Park and Main St. area. Activities may include garbage pickup, sidewalk sweeping, flower planting and weed pulling. The MCC is looking to get as many organizations and individuals as possible to be involved and to work together for a better community. .....

Murphys, CA....Get ready for the The 5th annual Ironstone Vineyards BBQ Competition and Classic Car Cruise and Display, SUNDAY, JUNE 5th. The grills are on fire, the smoke is churning, and the meat is sizzling. Competition starts at 10 am. Judging starts at 2:00 pm. Beer, wine and food for sale. BBQ samples from the competitors. Large grass area for a family day in the park. Come vote for the viewers choice award!! Specialty food vendors will be selling their products.....
