Angels Camp, CA....If you did not have a chance to attend or catch our "Live" streaming of the Economic Summit that took place on Friday, we now have the replay up for your viewing pleasure.....The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce, together with the County of Calaveras and the City of Angels sponsored the 1st Annual Calaveras County Economic Revitalization Summit, a first time historic event, and the beginning of a county-wide ongoing design process. After months of planning, just over 150 of the best and brightest of our local minds met, strategized, planned, broke bread together and listened to some great speakers. Most of our current Supervisors and many department personell, Business Leaders, The City of Angels Camp management team, Educators and more were on hand. It was an all day event starting with the first speaker, Steve Art ,who is the economic development director for Lincoln CA. In recent years Lincoln was one of the fastest growing cities in the US....

Under the direction of Nicki Swendeman, the Players present “Males Order Brides … or Big Harry Deal’s Scandalous Scheme.” The played opened at 8 p.m. Friday, on July 18, and then plays at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Aug. 2 at the Black Bart Playhouse, 580 S. Algiers St., Murphys. Matinees will be presented at 2 p.m. July 20 and 27th.....

Bear Valley, CA....This is the 18th Year for the Arts of Bear Valley Summer Show! It will be running concurrently with the Bear Valley Music Festival from July 26th~August 10th, in the Perry Walther Building, across from the Bear Valley Music Festival Tent. They will feature an art raffle benefiting the Music Festival. The raffle includes artwork by Nancy Calhoun, Jerry Gililland, June Brown and Joyce Schoonover. Tickets will be sold daily at the Art show in the Perry Walter building, next to the music tent, with the winning tickets to be drawn on August 10th.

To qualify, attendees must have attained the age of 70 and have lived in the Murphys, Douglas Flat, Vallecito area for at least ten years.
