Traffic Update...Grass Fire in Center Divide Impacts Traffic Near Hwy 108 & Tulloch Dam Road |

Jamestown, CA...From Sonora CHP...Fire personnel and CHP are on scene of a grass fire in the center divide, SR-120 east of Tulloch Dam Road. Please use caution in the area. The #1 lane (left lane)on the westbound and eastbound side are closed for emergency operations and vehicles. Please slow in the area. Smoke is drifting over the eastbound lanes and requiring vehicles to slow due to reduced visibility.

Elusive Bovine in Twain Harte Area |

Twain Harte, CA...From Sonora CHP...Since Saturday the CHP has been receiving calls of a loose cow in or near the roadway. This cow has worked its way down from the Twain Harte area and is currently off Cherokee Road near Carol Lane. Please drive cautiously if in the area.

Columbia, CA...Traffic Update....Two Tan & Black Cows Walking Towards Sr49 / Pedro Y. Rumor has it that these two heard of the exploits of Betsy, the "Don't fence me in" bovine from Twain Harte who has been posting on herd media how great life on the lamb is. She even posted a selfie yesterday before she made her escape from CHP and those dastardly brand inspectors.

Moderate Injuries for Vallecito Woman in Hwy 49 Collision |

Sonora, CA...On Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at approximately 1:15 pm, Marianne Gates was driving a 2001 Mercedes Benz C320, northbound on State Route 49 approaching Springfield Road. For unknown reasons, Gates allowed the vehicles right side tires to travel off of the roadway onto the dirt shoulder. Gates over corrected and unsafely turned to the left losing control of her vehicle. The vehicle traveled over both lanes of traffic and went off of the west road edge and down a steep embankment, overturning several times. The vehicle came to rest on the driver's side.

Moccasin, CA...Flat Fire Incident from June 25, 2018 at 6:28 am. Date/Time Started: June 24, 2018 1:54 pm near Hwy 49 & Marshes Flat Rd, in the Community of Moccasin. Acres Burned - Containment: 162 acres - 35% contained. Forward spread stopped. No structures lost and all evacuations have been lifted.
