Arnold, CA...You will need to chain up or engage the 4wd this morning to make it to the slopes. On Hwy 88 they have it open through the Carson Spur area and controls are in effect above Dew Drop Inn. Hwy 26 is still closed for repairs. Bear Valley devotees will need traction aids above Arnold on Hwy 4. Dodge Ridge skiers & riders will need to chains or 4wd above Twain Harte. Hwy 120 has even joined the chain gang this morning with controls in effect at Buck Meadows....

Back in the early 90’s, when Shawn was selling out of the back of his truck as “The Eddy Mart”, the most important items to have on hand were life jackets, river shorts, sandals and river knives. Oh yes, and a few things the rafting customers would want, t-shirts, hats, sunscreen, etc. It became obvious that The Eddy Mart was getting too big to operate out of a garage when the whitewater kayaks came. It was time for a storefront. That’s when providence arrived on the scene.
One Treated for Smoke Inhalation after Residential Structure Fire in Groveland

Groveland, CA...Fire and medical personnel worked a residential fire located on the 19000 block of Crocker Station Ln in Groveland earlier today. The roadway was closed to through traffic during the incident. The fire was reported at 10:15 and there were no threats to surrounding structures. All occupants reportedly made it out safely. One patient was treated for smoke inhalation. Please avoid the area if possible.

Sonora, CA...March 8-10th, 2019 at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds. It is one of the oldest and largest Celtic Faires in existence. Since 1986 it has been a fixture on the spring calendar.
