Angels Camp, CA....The Mother Lode League Football Play continued this weekend. The Calaveras Football team won Friday's away game against Amador in Sutter Creek, 17-10. Argonaut took Friday's away conference game against Summerville 7-0. Sonora crushed Bret Harte in Sonora 69-0.

San Francisco, CA... Weather Conditions in Nearly All Counties Now Safe to Conduct Inspections, Repairs and Begin Power Restoration; Majority of Customer Resource Centers Will Remain Open on Friday; Windy Weather Should Subside in Kern County by Early Friday. Pacific Gas and Electric Company reported late Thursday that more than half of customers impacted by the Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) have had their power restored. About 426,000 out of a total 738,000 customers have been restored, including full restoration in Humboldt, Siskiyou and Trinity counties. About 312,000 customers remain without power.

San Francisco, CA...Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) reported Friday at 12:00 p.m. that approximately 543,000 customers impacted by PSPS have had their power restored, including full restoration in Humboldt, Siskiyou, Trinity and Yolo counties. Less than 195,000 customers remain without power.

Stockton, CA...Caltrans is preparing for widespread power outages beginning at midnight as PG&E cuts power to reduce the risk of wildfire. District 10 counties potentially affected are San Joaquin, Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, Mariposa, Stanislaus and Tuolumne Counties, PG&E may potentially cut power early Wednesday, October 9 through midday Thursday, October 10. Motorists are reminded that the California Department of Motor Vehicle Driver Handbook mandates that non-working (dark) and flashing red traffic signals be treated as all-way stops during power outages. Drivers should proceed with caution through intersections and observe right-of-way rules.

Arnold, CA..This morning PG&E shut off power to 513,000 customers as part of the first phase of this Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS). Those customers are currently out of power in the following counties: Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Solano, Sonoma, Tehama, Trinity, Yolo and Yuba.
Adventist Health Sonora Prepared for PG&E Power Safety Shutoff

Sonora, CA...The PG&E public safety power shutoff has now reached Tuolumne County and Adventist Health Sonora facilities equipped with generators are running on back-up power. Services that will continue to provide care throughout the outage include: Emergency Department, Med/Surg, Birth Center, ICU, Surgery for emergency cases, Long Term Care, Home Health, Hospice, Sonora Oxygen Supply.
Solo Fatal Traffic Collision Last Night on Lyons Bald Mountain Road

Sonora, CA...From CHP..."On Sunday, October 6, 2019, at approximately 10:35 PM, a 40-year-old man from Tuolumne County was driving his 2001 Chevrolet pickup westbound on Lyons Bald Mountain Road, east of Apple Valley Drive, at an unknown high rate of speed. The driver allowed the vehicle to leave the roadway in a northerly direction. The vehicle ramped off large rocks on the shoulder and became airborne. The vehicle collided with a tree and came to rest on its wheels. The driver was a solo occupant of the vehicle. He was not wearing his seatbelt and was pinned in the driver seat of the vehicle.
