Tuolumne Search & Rescue Acquires New Polaris Ranger

Sonora, CA...Exciting news from our Search and Rescue (SAR) team! Thanks to the incredible support from our community during our past Annie Oakley fundraisers, we were able to acquire a Polaris Ranger Side-by-Side with tracks. This newly acquired asset went out on its maiden voyage over the weekend and played a crucial role in successfully assisting two individuals stranded in the snow near Cherry Lake. Our dedicated team's quick response and the versatility of the Ranger made all the difference in our ability to successfully and safely navigate the elements to provide assistance.

Arnold, CA...The Latest from the National Weather Service...Heavy snow. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 feet. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph. Snow levels around 2,000 to 3,000 feet Saturday afternoon, reaching as low as 1,500 feet Sunday morning. Snow rates of 2 inches per hour are possible.
