1/4 Acre of Grass Burn Due to Sparks From a Grinder Being Used

Tulumne County, CA....A 1/4 acre of grass vegetation was burned when sparks from a Grinder being used on the bed of a pickup truck was being used. The pickup was parked about 28 feet away from vegetation. The incident occurred on Saturday August 22nd at 20604 N. Sunshine Road in Soulsbyville. There were no injuries. Units responding were:

JAMESTOWN – Over Labor Day weekend and for the second year in a row, visitors to Railtown1897 State Historic Park will have the special opportunity to see more than a dozen small scale model steam trains in operation. The Sacramento-based “On the Brink, Live Steam Group” will set up hand-crafted models for public viewing. Interestingly, these intricate small-scale models run under steam produced by liquid fuel, just like their full-sized counterparts in the Roundhouse.....

Structure Fire This Morning on Yuba River Drive

Sonora, CA...Just spoke with Ed Allendorf at the TCU Command Center in San Andreas and he gave us some additional details on the structure fire that damaged a vacant home on Yuba River Drive at Crystal Falls Drive. They were able to save approximately 75% of the structure and the cause is still under investigation. The vacant home was on the market to be sold. The fire was called controlled a few minutes ago. We will pass along the report when it is made available...

Farming Equipment Cause of 28 Acre Fire in Oakdale Yesterday

Stanislaus County, CA....CAL Fire States use of farming equipment was the cause of a 28 acre vegetation fire that occurred at Claribel Road and Tim Bell Road in Stanislaus County yesterday afternoon. There were no injuries. Estimated dollar damage is $5,600. Multiple units responded including:

CAL Fire States Structure Fire in Columbia Cause Electrical Power

Columbia, CA....The structure fire that occurred yesterday at 10785 Valparaiso Street in Columbia was caused by electrical power according to CAL Fire. A structure was fully engulfed along with a vehicle and 1/2 acre of grass vegetation. Luckily there were no injuries. There is a total of $350,000 in damages for the home and contents; $25,000 to vehicle and $100 to vegetation. Pinecrest, CA...A search effort is underway for a 7-year-old Modesto boy missing in the Chain Lakes area of the Stanislaus National Forest near Pinecrest. Brian Hill was fishing with his father and others Saturday, said Tuolumne County Sheriff's Sgt. A.J. Ford. About 1 p.m.,the boy ran ahead of the group hiking back to camp, and when they arrived in camp, he wasn't there...
