Sonora, CA...Sonora’s first and only women’s flat track roller derby team, the High Country Hellcats. This bout was the first for our five newly graduated Kittens, Penelope Pistol, Amber Waves of Pain, Highland Harlot, & Mixon Up Trouble. Fire Alert...Vehicle Fire on O'Byrnes Ferry Road

Copperopolis, CA....Crews from multiple agencies and all aircraft out of Columbia are responding to a reported vehicle fire with vegetation involvement on O'Byrnes Ferry Road at Wagner Ranch. Update as of 1:37pm...The vehicle/vegetation fire on O'Byrnes is approximately 2 acres and there were injuries to the driver of the car that crashed that started the fire. The vehicle was fully engulfed as well. Crews sound confident they can make quick work of the fire... Update as of 1:49pm they have just called the fire contained an they expect to have crews on scene for about an hour...

You've been a regular visitor to this chamber and we really appreciate it. Before you today you have some of our board members, our trustees, which is our Political Action Committee members, as well as some of our ambassadors that are kind of our front door to our community and to the business organizations here in San Jose. We also have a few of our candidates that are here. They did very well in the primary and we're hoping that we're going to get them elected in November and have some good people working to get up to Sacramento...

Fire News...Possible Vegetation Fire on the North Side of Woodward

Oakdale, CA...If you see equipment & aircraft moving they are responding to a reported vegetation fire on the north side of Woodward Reservoir. Units from multiple agencies and all aircraft out of Columbia are responding at this time. Update 6:10pm, One acre in size according to units on scene. Update: 6:20pm, crews are being canceled. Good job crews!

Three Day Tuolumne County Marijuana Eradication Nets An Addtional 121,436 Plants

Tuolumne County, CA....TNT has wrapped up a three day marijuana eradication mission that has netted an additional 121,436 marijuana plants. TNT was assisted in this effort by USFS, BLM, and CAMP personnel. The three day operation included eradications from the Groveland, Tuolumne, and Beardsley areas. A total of 18 different marijuana garden sites were eradicated during this eradication sweep. All of our grows were spotted by aerial observation techniques. On 08/01/10 at approx. 3:00 p.m. Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call regarding a possible drowning about a mile above the Parrott’s Ferry Bridge on the Tuolumne side of the Stanislaus River. The victim, Aaron Tyler, 16 years of age, was boating on New Melones Lake with a friend’s family...
