Gas Siphoning Leads to Concealed Weapons Charge

Posted by: thepinetree on 01/11/2011 03:58 PM
Tuolumne, CA...Yesterday around 5:00 am Dep. Mike Pershall was dispatched to the area of Westside on Tuolumne Rd. where Tribal Security had detained two subjects who had possibly been siphoning gas from parked cars. Security said they heard noises in the brush near the fence that separates Westside from Summerville High School. Later they saw a man walk out of the brush near the fence, carrying a plastic container. He walked across Tuolumne Rd. to a parked SUV and appeared to be pouring gas into the fuel spout. When Deputy Pershall arrived he identified the man as 49 year old Robert Hagen, of Oakhurst, and a passenger as Susan Huntington, 51, also of Oakhurst. When questioned about the gas, Hagen said he’d gotten a ride to and from a gas station and he had walked from the area of the fence because it was a short cut....
